Here’s Fr8Labs. They’re a Singapore and Indonesia-based startup that helps freight forwarders modernize the way they work.

Oh, and they just raised $1.5M in seed funding!

  • Launched in 2022, they claim that their customers have seen a 13% increase in business.
  • So far, they have over 50 clients in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Australia. They’re also planning to expand in Asia.

Investor check. East Ventures, FEBE Ventures, Kaya Founders, Mulia Sky Capital, Seedstars, Venturra, and some angel investors joined in.

🛣️ The difference

Players in the SEA logistics industry still rely on legacy systems to work.

  • Yes, companies don’t use special platforms to organize operations—just tools like Microsoft Excel, email, chat, and generic accounting software.

🚛 The ABCs of Fr8Labs

Fr8Lab’s AI-enabled modern operating system allows companies to streamline their workflow in one platform—from quotation to booking to accounting!

  • Now, businesses can automate data entry, order tracking, and inventory management.

It’s easy. Companies can just upload a file of a shipping order and Fr8Lab’s platform creates documents and forms that need to be submitted to customers.

📈 What’s next?

They’ll enhance their platform to add foreign exchange trade, financing, cargo insurance, rates management, and a marketplace.

  • Their goal? To create an open ecosystem where they can manage different logistics tech software.
