Visa headaches no more? Indonesian travel ancillary startup SPUN is building an AI-enabled platform that simplifies complex visa processes.

  • Now, they’ve just raised a $1.8M seed!

Investor check. Genesia Ventures led the round, while Antler, Spiral Ventures, Iterative, Kopital Ventures, and Kum Hong Siew (Managing Director, Airbnb China) joined in.

SPUN’s services are available across major SEA travel platforms such as Klook, Traveloka, Tiket, and Nusatrip.

✈️ Bon voyage

SPUN serves both individual applicants and business-to-business (B2B) customers, including over 200 travel agents and resellers.

They use purpose-built AI agents to bring structure to the tedious visa approval process.

  • Oh, and all applications for paying customers are processed at market price.
  • The platform supports over 300 visa types across more than 90 countries.

The numbers, so far. Within the first 12 months of operations, SPUN has processed thousands of inbound and outbound applications, with a 99% approval rate.

🛂 Stress-free travel

They’ll use the $$$ to expand to SEA.

  • Visa applications are one of the most anxiety-inducing and costly barriers to mobility in SEA, especially in countries where citizens have weak passports.
