Meet Indonesia-based Stilt Studios! Their eco-friendly modular homes, which are used as residential or hospitality units, can be installed faster than conventional buildings. And they just raised $10M in a debt and equity round!

• So far, they’ve built over 50 houses, most of which were completed in the last 12 months.
• Founded in 2019, they claim that they’ve been profitable since 2022. 

Investor check. Christian Hymer, the former owner of German motor home company Hymer, and other investors joined the round.

🏠 The ABCs of Stilt Studios

While the construction process often takes weeks (even months!) to complete, Stilt’s method reduces installation time to one to two months per house! Yes, that includes designing, manufacturing, and setting up. 

FYI, for many conventional buildings, the process takes a year or more. 

• Stilt Studios pre-fabricates building components in large masses, so installation is easier, faster, and flexible. You can add and subtract parts of the house depending on your needs.
• Houses are built in modules in their Indonesian manufacturing facilities and shipped worldwide.  

Also eco-friendly! You can choose between wood or recycled plastic as building materials. Plus, they claim that their houses have at least 50% less carbon footprint than normal buildings.

They can design and build tiny houses, treehouses, and modular homes. Oh and, they already have an ongoing village project based in Canggu (in Bali), where they’re set to build 25 villas. 

• Besides Indonesia, they said that nearly 1K ongoing inquiries come from Europe, Australia, and the US.

They’ll use the $$$ to expand globally and upgrade their platform. 

• Australia first? They’re going to start building their first project there later this year. 
• Plus, they’re going to explore using AI in walk-throughs and other customer experiences.
