1, 2, 3? Nope, here’s 129Knots! They’re a Singapore-based real-world asset origination to distribution (OTD) platform, that just launched and raised some $$$!

  • 129Knots was incubated under the Singapore Economic Development Board Corporate Venture Launchpad program.

Investor check. Sing Fuels, a global energy trading company, led the round with $10M.

⛏️ Breaking down the jargon

Financial institutions typically operate under the originate-to-hold model, where banks originate loans and hold them until maturity.

But these days, institutions would distribute loans by syndicating or selling them to third parties.

  • But what about real-world assets (RWAs)? In crypto, this refers to tokens that represent tangible assets in the chain.
  • RWAs can be properties, objects, bonds, and more!

💘 Where they come in

Their OTD tech offers scalable liquidity solutions through secure chain technologies.

  • 129Knots offers solutions across trade credit, stable-coin-powered transactions, and asset tokenization. They also provide trade audit trails and credit risk assessment models.
  • Their platform is run by Tribal Knots, a proprietary credit engine that uses advanced machine learning to provide insights into buyer behavior, transaction patterns, and benchmarks.

On the horizon? They’re focused on the marine energy transition vertical right now, but they’re planning to venture into other high-growth industries.
