$10M to treat what's taboo: sexual health and personal care

May 18, 2023
Ora

Hola, Ora. This Singaporean D2C startup offers teleconsultations and treatments for young patients in SEA. And they’ve just raised a $10M Series A — the biggest Series A for telehealth in SEA so far!

  • They’ve delivered over 250,000 doctor consultations since they were founded in 2020.

Investor check. The round was co-led by TNB Aura and Antler. Gobi Partners, Kairous Capital, and GMA Ventures also joined in!

  • The new funding brings Ora’s total raised to $17M.

😶‍🌫️ Don’t be shy!

Not a fan of physical consultations? Ora tackles specialized health concerns digitally with their three brands!

  • Modules offers online dermatology consultations and specially-prescribed skincare.
  • andSons is a men's health and wellness brand that carries doctor-formulated solutions for erectile dysfunction, hair loss, and more.
  • Ova is a women's reproductive health brand that offers birth control and solutions for hormonal and sexual wellness issues.

Ora doesn’t just connect you with doctors. They’re an end-to-end platform that covers everything—consultations, pharmacy, medication delivery and post-purchase care!

  • Secret’s safe. Ora delivers prescriptions in discreet packaging.
  • Not just any products. They’re a D2C brand with their own products like Modules' niacinamide cleanser and andSons’ anti-hair loss thickening shampoo.

💰What’s with the $$$?

Ora will expand their treatment areas, starting with weight management. They’re also planning to grow operations in the Middle East, where, like SEA, most healthcare costs come out-of-pocket!

  • Ora’s brands are currently active in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
  • They monetize through subscriptions, which account for 70% of revenue.
