Say hi to Jaring Pangan (aka, JaPang)! They're an Indonesian B2B2C food supply startup that's here to connect, sustain and secure the country's food supply. Now, they've just raised an $11.5M Pre-Series A!
Investor check. Gayo Capital led the round.
💡 How it works
Founded in 2021, they distribute staple food supplies like rice, chicken meat, eggs, salt, sugar and cooking oil. They do it by selling their own private-label products like Bang JaPang (rice) and Jap Chicken (frozen chicken) — and more!
Distribution, distribution. They also have a wholesale marketplace for B2B, allowing people to source the goods they need.
Apart from this, they also distribute their private-label goods through distributors, their Jawara program and even their own store (managed by the JaPang team).
It's Jawara. The Jawara program is to help anyone start a business with limited capital. These Jawara agents sell JaPang's products, and JaPang supports them through financing (powered by JaPang's finance and fintech partners) and training.
🚀 What's next?
They'll be moving into what they call "sustainable web3", starting with commodity tokens and using smart contracts for business transactions.
