Investor check. KBI Investment, Ascent Ventures Group, Northstar Ventures, BRI Ventures, and Gentree Fund funded the round!

🌾The ABCs of DayaTani

DayaTani operates several research and development farming sites in Indonesia to find out the drivers of yield in a certain area. Then, they share their findings with local farmers.

  • DayaTani cultivates horticulture and grain crops like rice, corn, chili, tomato, potato, cabbage, and shallots.

On-the-ground. They’ve also got an on-the-ground agronomy team, a soil testing service, and more!

🛖 It takes a village

Apart from these, DayaTani buys their farmers’ produce and offers high-quality agricultural input, which farmers can purchase via credit.

  • They have partnerships with key players to support these programs.

LLM farming assistant? They're building a semi-bionic agronomist agent that can help farmers in their day-to-day operations. The first version of this LLM chatbot is already live.

  • Need some help? You can ask the chatbot agri-specific questions.

🍃 What the future holds

DayaTani plans to install over 100 IoT devices across Java to create a network of weather stations.

  • This will allow farmers access to precise and location-specific weather information.
  • DayaTani is building hardware and software capabilities for this network, which includes developing their Agronomist app.

Give ‘em the deets. Oh, and they’ll also create data science models that can give farmers practical recommendations!
