$3.5M to fish out the inefficiencies in the fisheries industry

FishLog

Something's fishy. Say hi to FishLog! This startup is transforming Indonesia's fisheries industry — with a focus on supply chain. Now, they've just raised a $3.5M Pre-Series A!

  • The problem? Indonesia's fisheries industry is fragmented and inefficient.

Investor check. Accel, BRI Ventures, Insignia Ventures Partners, Patamar Capital, Indogen Capital, and Triputra Agri Group.

🐟 What it's all about

Founded in 2020, they're connecting the entire fishery supply chain and maximizing each part! They're streamlining processes, building fair-trade transactions and allowing for sustainable distribution — all through technology.

  • This way, the industry can meet not just Indonesia's demand — but global supply and demand.
  • Indonesia is the second-largest source of fish in the world, with $25B in annual production value.

🎣 Fishing out inefficiencies

And, of course, that starts with relationships — they run a B2B marketplace.

  • It connects everyone across the entire cold chain network, from buyers and suppliers (aka, fisherfolk) to cold storage warehouses,

It's a win-win. Suppliers get constant income, and buyers get reliable and quality sources in real time. Plus, this helps you and I by creating better prices, quality and accessibility for fish.

On top of that, they also offer financing, inventory handling, cold storage digitization and digital tools (like ERPs and order management systems).

💰 What's with the $$$?

They'll be doubling down on their products, growing the team, growing FishLog Academy and financing their ecosystem partners.

  • They launched a learning program, FishLog Academy to train people for the fishery industry — from management and quality control to cold storage operations.
