$4.2M to make it oh-so-simple to join web3 games

MetaverseGo

Say hey to MetaverseGo! This Philippine startup just raised a $4.2M seed led by Galaxy Digital's Galaxy Interactive. They're here to make it simple to onboard onto web3 games!

Investor check. Delphi Digital, Dragonfly Capital, Mechanish Capital, Infinity Ventures Crypto, Shima Capital, Com2uS, Akatsuki, Ascensive Assets, BitScale Capital, Yield Guild Games, BreederDAO, Mentha Partners and Emfarsis also joined in.

🤷🏻‍♀️ Why it matters

For first-timers, opening a crypto wallet, buying cryptocurrencies and buying gaming NFTs just to play the game is tough.

So, even if you were interested, that complicated onboarding process might stop you from playing web3 games at all.

Blockchain games can bring in a ton of adoption into crypto and web3. And there's still tons of room for growth! While they're the majority of blockchain activity, they're still a fraction of daily gamers.

🤯 How it works

Instead of going through that process, MetaverseGo allows you to signup with just a cellphone number and instantly start playing web3 games like Axie Infinity and Cyball.

  • MetaverseGo sets up the players' wallets and gives them access to gaming NFTs owned by gaming guilds. (Instead of needing to spend tons of $$$ on your own NFT!)
  • In exchange, the guilds will get a percentage of your in-game earnings.

You can access your in-game earnings as MetaverseGo credits that you can redeem to pay for items like utility bills or transfer your earnings into your wallet.

💥 What's next?

They'll be doubling down on their product, partnering with telco providers and hiring.
