Here’s to the next gen! Timah Partners is a newly launched firm based in Singapore that helps retiring MSME founders with their succession challenges.

  • Now, they just raised $50M in a Series A!

Investor check. Some of their investors include Mitch Rales (Danaher Corporation), Nick Howley (TransDigm Group), and Alex Behring (3G Capital).

  • Compounding Labs and Sator Grove Holdings also joined in!

🏡 The succession challenge

MSME owners face a number of challenges when it comes to succession.

  • For family-owned businesses, there may be family conflict at play, or worse, there might not be anyone to take over at all.
  • Protecting the business’ legacy is another question. If owners do decide to sell, how can they ensure that their business will carry on the same values post-acquisition?

🔤 The ABCs of Timah Partners

Timah is a permanent holding company that is in it for the long haul.

  • They acquire MSMEs from retiring owners without the intention of selling, so your business (and your people) are taken care of.

Not just acquisition. Timah is also developing their CEO-in-Training program to foster future operators.

  • They partner with veteran CEOs to help the next generation of MSME leaders master the fundamentals and take the reins.
