$6.75M for smart high-powered electric motorcycles straight out of SG

January 13, 2023
Scorpio Electric

Ever heard of Scorpio Electric? They're a Singapore-based electric motorcycle startup building high-performance smart electric motorcycles. Oh, and they've just raised a $6.75M round to speed things up!

  • Founded in 2017, they expect to start mass production and global delivery of the Scorpio Electric X1 in the second half of this year.

Investor check. EuroSports Global led the round!

  • They last raised a $6.3M Series A in 2020.

🤷🏻‍♀️ Who's your X?

They're building their first motorcycle, the Scorpio Electric X1. The X1 is named after the most powerful star in the Scorpio constellation, so they're not scrimping on its features!

It's designed to push the boundaries of urban city driving and be their best-in-class model, from style and performance to tech.

  • They aren't just electric. They've got tech like a mobile app, bike locator, smart navigation, incident detection, charging station locators and more!
  • It has a projected range of 200km/charge, and each full charge takes a little over 2.5 hours.
  • Any kind of drive. It can drive in three modes: eco, urban, and sport.

💰 What's with the $$$?

They'll continue testing and developing the X1. And after that, they'll manufacture the first batch of pre-production prototypes of the X1!

  • Full speed ahead. They'll also invest in developing new premium electronic motorcycle models and variants — beyond the X1.
