$600M for Southeast Asian startups and future unicorns

December 2, 2022
Asia Partners

Say hey to Asia Partners! This Singapore-based growth equity firm is looking to raise $600M for their second fund.

  • They closed their first fund at $384M in March last year.

💰 All about the checks

Founded in 2019, they invest in startups that are open to ticket sizes of $20M to $100M! Usually, at this stage, the startup is Series C or D.

Their focus? Three things: the long-term growth potential of SEA, the rapid growth of tech and tech-enabled business and the scarcity of growth capital (not just any capital).

So far, they've invested in seven startups across four markets!

  • Their portfolio includes Carsome, GudangAda, RedDoorz and Doctor Anywhere.
  • They raised Shopback's $80M Series F.

👀 Looking into the future

They predict 20 more unicorns to come out of SEA by 2029, and they think at least half of them will IPO in the next decade.
