CloudEats

Hungry? Order from CloudEats! This Philippine startup is a multi-brand cloud kitchen delivering straight to you. Oh, and they've just raised a $7M Series A extension!

  • Founded in 2019, they have over 50 brands and 25 ghost kitchens in the Philippines and Vietnam.
  • They have served over 2.5M orders since launch.

Investor check. Nordstar led the round.

Each of their cloud kitchens operates several of CloudEats' in-house brands that focus on food delivery.

Why so many brands? Each brand targets a specific customer persona. Everything from the brand's menu to its pricing and positioning is specific to the persona.

  • Their brands sell burgers (Burger Beast), healthy food (Healthy-To-Go and Healthy Appetite and Chinese food (Lucky 88 Bowls) and more. They even have a 24/7 online food court called 24/7 Eats!
  • They also have celebrity brands like former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach's Pia's Kitchen and Nico Bolzico's Bolzico Beef-To-Go.

Don't forget the tech. Their API allows them to control menu content and availability in real-time, which helps brings in more orders and $$$.

  • It also makes it easy for them to manage and scale their many brands across multiple cuisines and delivery platforms.

😉 Should we call this "fast" food?

They're quickly expanding and will be heading to the rest of SEA, into markets like Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia soon!

  • Their third market will launch by the middle of next year.

💰 What's with the $$$?

The new cash is also to double down on their cloud kitchen tech, invest in their current restaurant brands (and launch new ones) and expand the team!
