$8M to get Dat Bike all over Vietnam

November 25, 2022
Dat Bike

It's not just a bike. It's Dat Bike! This Vietnamese e-bikes startup just raised another $8M in a new round led by Jungle Ventures!

  • The plan? Keep making people switch from gasoline bikes and fill Vietnam's roads with e-bikes!
  • Founded in 2018, their revenue has shot up 10x in the last 12 months.

Investor check. GSR Ventures, Wavemaker Partners, Innoven Capital, and Delivery Hero Ventures also joined in!

🏍 Va Va Vroom

Their newest e-bike model, the Weaver 200, has a range of 200km and a charging time of one hour for 100km and three hours for a full 200km charge. These stats leave other e-bike alternatives in the dust!

  • Most other alternatives have a range of 50km (yup, that's 4x less!) and a much longer charging time of 6–8 hours for a full charge.
  • It's also Vietnam's first locally-made electric bike.

🔋 Supercharging it

They've also launched a charging station for their bikes called Dat Charge. Thought a charging time of one hour for 100km was fast? Dat Charge makes charging your Dat Bike 3x faster!

  • With a 20-minute charge, your Dat Bike can ride a full 100km.

🔥 Sales, sales, sales

Want one? Buy your Dat Bike at their three physical official stores in Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and Da Nang. Oh, and they're also selling their bikes through online channels and stores.

  • They'll be opening more stores in those cities and expanding to other Tier 1 cities in Vietnam over the next few months.

Beyond the sale. They're here for you even after you've bought your Dat Bike. A focus of theirs is great after-sales services!

💰 What's with the $$$?

They'll be using it to grow their sales, support, R&D and product teams. Plus, they'll also be doubling down on product and increasing production capacity at their factories.
