You don’t have to break the bank to get the cloud. Meet Singapore-based Aethir, a decentralized cloud infrastructure (DCI) firm that lets you store data at a cheaper price!

They just closed their Pre-Series A round, bringing their valuation to $150M.

  • Launched in 2021, they mostly serve companies in the gaming and AI sector.

Investor check. Sanctor Capital, Hashkey, Merit Circle, and CitizenX led the round!

  • Mirana Ventures, Animoca Brands, Momentum6, Big Brain Holdings, Builder Capital, Tess Ventures, Maelstrom (Arthur Hayes), and others joined in.
  • They have raised a total of $9M since they were founded.

💸 Bye-bye high costs

Here’s the thing. Centralized cloud infrastructure can cost a lot of money. For context, Amazon charges $23 a month for their AWS Cloud service!

Especially when you’re a startup in the AI and gaming space, that kind of pricing is going to hurt.

  • Aethir’s network lets you scale your cloud infrastructure fast and easy.
  • Why it matters? Companies can access complex real-time rendering or streaming infrastructure.

⭐ Reach for the stars

Gaming companies need cloud computing tech to make the magic happen.

  • Developers can use the virtual servers to handle complex computations and rendering.
  • They can also store huge amounts of data.

🤔 What’s next?

They’ve got a growing user base of gaming studios, AI companies, and other businesses.

But wait! They’re just warming up.

  • The fresh $$$ will help them expand operations in SEA, Latin, and North America.
  • They’ll also help them develop their DCI tech.
