Airwallex raises $330M Series G to set up new HQ in the US

They’ve got the G! Airwallex, the global payments and financial platform, raised a $330M Series G funding round, pushing their valuation to $8B.

  • They recently raised a $300M Series F in May 2025.

Investor check. Addition led the round, with Activant, Lingotto, Robinhood Ventures, TIAA Ventures, and T. Rowe Price joining in. 

🌏 Their global presence

Airwallex operates in over 200 countries and regions, and they now have 80 licenses and permits globally. 

  • They also expanded into 12 new markets, including France, Japan, and the UAE. 

🇸🇬 Focus still on Asia, AI

The company will still retain its focus on Asia, with plans for Singapore (their other HQ), to serve as a regional hub for Asia. 

  • The company has also acquired Skye Sab Indonesia, which holds a Penyedia Jasa Pembayaran Category 1 license, which will allow Airwallex to offer core payment services.

AI on. They recently launched their Expense Submission Agent, which can collect receipts, reconcile them to transactions, categorize the expenses, and populate the required fields for submission.

  • Coming soon? Meanwhile, their soon-to-be launched Expense Policy Agent verifies the receipt’s validity, reviews the submission against company policy, and flags any potential exceptions for manual review before final approval.
  • They’ve also integrated AI into their operational workflows to boost efficiency and accuracy. 

💼 New HQ

They’ll set up a second headquarters in California, which is expected to help the company attract talent to build its capabilities and products.

  • They’ll also drive the company’s growth in the US and other key markets, while driving expanded AI hiring and product development.
