We’ve gut a good feeling about AMILI! This Singaporean startup researches offers gut-healing products and helps create medical solutions for Asia-specific gut issues–all through tech! And they just raised fresh funds!

  • We’re unique. The gut microbiome in Asia is influenced by factors like diet, food ingredients, culture, lifestyle, and environment.
  • AMILI’s co-founder and CEO Jeremy Lin performed SEA’s first gut microbiome transplant with his colleagues back in 2014.

Investor check. VC firm East Ventures led the fundraise.

  • The amount raised is undisclosed.

🧐 What the gut?

The gut microbiome consists of trillions of bacteria, viruses, and fungi that AMILI claims can affect immunity, metabolism, heart, gut, and brain health.

  • Can’t treat it without knowing it. AMILI is backed by a multi-ethnic and Asia-focused gut microbiome database and biobank.

🫘 That’s gutsy!

AMILI’s Bio & Me brand offers Singapore’s first gut microbiome testing service, and also sells probiotics formulas specifically targeted for patients in Asia.

  • Bye bye, diarrhea. AMILI also does faecal microbiota transplants, which introduces healthy microbiomes to a patient to help address bowel infections.
  • You’re safe. AMILI is an ISO-certified company, with a panel of researchers and clinicians on board.

Sharing the expertise. Through their proprietary tech, AMILI also offers sample collection, gene sequencing, bioinformatics analysis, and other services to companies.

🧑‍⚕️ What’s with the $$$?
AMILI will expand operations in Indonesia, where they’ll explore treatments for country-specific gut issues.
