Atma's making the job hunt great again

May 10, 2022
Atma

Looking for love or looking for a job? Atma's here to tell you one of the two is now easier for you— job hunting. This social job platform for lower and middle-income job seekers has just raised a $5M pre-seed.

Who cashed in? AC Ventures led the round. Global Founders Capital and several angels also joined in.

  • 👼🏻: Founders and execs from GoTo Group, Advance Intelligence Group, Kopi Kenangan, Lummo, Ula, Sampoerna Strategic, Xiaomi and MMS Group.

🧐  Why it matters

Over 100M working-age Indonesians fit in the low to middle-income segment — and their job hunts suck. Some even call it traumatizing, and they have limited opportunities to upskill.

  • They earn less than 10M IDR a month (around $700 USD).

💼  How it works

For you. They're building a mobile app where job seekers can apply for jobs and go through a screening process— it covers everything from qualifications, skills and culture fit.

  • Never get ghosted again. It'll give you real-time job application updates.

For companies. They'll use data to help you screen, assess and sort candidates and find the best hire fast. It can take weeks before any qualified candidates apply.

  • The recruiting process is broken and tough, leaving some candidates with extremely negative experiences and companies getting few to no responses.

💰 What's with the $$$?

They're kickstarting their go-to-market strategy, improving their product and expanding their team to 100 people by the end of the year.

  • They'll also be building on community and career development features to help job seekers connect, learn, get support and upskill.
