Botsync raises $5.2M to build software for robots in manufacturing

June 11, 2024

Meet Botsync! You probably know them for building industrial robots to automate the manufacturing industry. Now, they're building software for manufacturing automation too.

  • Launched in October 2019, they created MAG, a line of robots that autonomously navigates warehouses and factories.
  • Their robots replace equipment like manual forklifts, trolleys, and pallet trucks.

Oh, and they’ve raised a $5.2M Series A!

  • Clients include Ford Motors, Caterpillar, Nestle, Coca Cola, Kimberly Clark, and more.

Investor check. Capital 2B and Betatron Venture Group co-led the round. IvyCap Ventures, AppWorks, Iterative, Wong Fong, ZB Capital, Nalin Advani, and Ascend Angels also joined in!

  • They’ve been growing at an average growth rate of 130% YoY over the past three years
  • They sell their robots in Singapore, India, Thailand, and Indonesia.

❓ Wait, but why?

Why software? They realized it’s tough for companies to integrate multiple robots that come from different companies. It causes delays, or worse—derails everything.

To solve this, they’ve created no-code integration software called syncOS, which connects all your robots on one platform regardless of programming language or protocols!

  • Nothing new. They started SyncOS to integrate their own brand of robots on one platform, but they’ve expanded it to work with other manufacturers’ robots.

Their robots and software allow companies to automate their manufacturing processes and make them agile, cost-effective, and energy efficient

💰 What’s with the $$$?

They’ll expand their commercial presence in key markets and improve technical support for their customers. Plus, they’ll keep developing syncOS!

  • They’ll double down on Southeast Asia and India, then head to Australia and the Middle East.
