Check out my new (all electric) ride

December 29, 2021
VinFast

Revving it up! Vietnam's VinFast has just sent out its first batch of electric cars, the VF e34, to customers.

  • It is the auto arm of Vingroup, Vietnam's largest private corporation.
  • It's the #1 bestseller in Vietnam for all its car segments.

Back to the start

VinFast began in 2017 with gas-powered cars as Vietnam's first local car manufacturer. In 2019, it began EV production with three e-scooters. In 2021, it launched three smart EV cars and two more e-scooters.

  • Pre-orders for two of its EV car models in Vietnam began this year.

🚗 Meet the VF e34

It's developed exclusively for Vietnam with a ton of smart features. They cost $30,200 and can go as far as about 300km on a full charge.

And it doesn't matter when you buy your VinFast— you'll always get the latest features and services through FOTA (like an iPhone software update, but better!). A few below!

  • Move over, Siri. Its virtual voice assistant can recognize Vietnamese accents (no matter which region!) to control the car, send texts, search and do casual Q&A.
  • Safety is key. It automatically calls an ambulance during emergencies, alerts you of break-ins and suggests maintenance schedules when it senses a problem.
  • Convenience. Book medical services from Vinmec and entertainment and flights on the Vinpearl app from your car. Oh, and you can shop on Shopee and watch movies too.

🛣 The road ahead

Just like you and I, VinFast is calling 2022 its year. It's set to debut an entire EV line of cars from the A, B, C, D and E segments, launch in the US and Europe and go public in the US in the same year.
