• Founded in 2022, they serve real estate and investment firms, including Oaktree Capital, BentallGreenOak, and some of North America’s largest pensions.
  

Who cashed in? Jungle Ventures led the round through their First Cheque@Jungle program which is their idea, pre-seed, and seed-stage program.

Most climatetech startups are focused on helping corporations track and reduce their carbon emissions. Climate Alpha helps firms measure and predict the impact of climate change in their portfolios. 

• The firm has AI-powered software that guides clients to allocate capital to climate-resilient real and financial assets.

📈 Where they get the data? 

They use geographic information system (GIS) data and economic modeling to give firms an idea of how their properties will be affected by climate change. 

• Oh, and they also leverage fragmented public and private data streams (industry-standard climate models, census, economic data) and machine learning to make predictions on the financial impacts of climate change.

You read that right, they’re planning to raise their Series A in the first half of 2024. 

• They’ll accelerate the deployment of their global resilience scoring and financial impact calculations.

• They’re also planning to work with major asset managers to establish a global fund to invest in climate-resilient real estate.
