Clime Capital’s second clean energy fund reaches maximum capitalization

Here’s to the max! Clime Capital, a Singapore-based fund manager, just announced that their Southeast Asia Clean Energy Fund II (SEACEF II) has reached maximum capitalization with $175M committed. 

  • Clime Capital invests in early-stage clean energy ventures that accelerate the region's loww-carbon transition.

👜 Who committed the $$$? 

The fund received institutional capital from the Emerging Market Climate Action Fund, created by Allianz Global Investors and the European Investment Bank. 

  • Proparco, the Asian Development Bank, and the Sall Family Foundation also joined as new contributors.

SEACEF II offers capital to support early-stage businesses in the high-risk development phase.

It invests in promising renewable energy generation, energy efficiency, electric mobility, and electrical grid businesses.

  • Aside from investing in new companies, the fund will also offer additional capital to accelerate the scale-up of its portfolio companies. 

Their investments so far. SEACEFF II has completed 7 new investments since its first close in December 2023.
