• Not the first! In 2022, they acquired college prep edtech Schoters and coding school Kalanati.
• Ruangguru last raised a $55M round in 2021 after their $150M Series C in 2019.

Founded in 2019, Mclass is a Vietnamese edtech focused on teaching lessons live online.

• They're a leading live teaching platform for high school students in Vietnam!
• They teach math, science, literature, university entrance exams and test prep for tests like the IELTS.

Traction. Teachers on their app have seen over 85,000 students join their live classes, and they got a total of 1M replays in 2022!

🤑 Why the buy?

Ruangguru launched Kien Guru, their Vietnamese subsidiary, in 2019. It's a strategic move, with Mclass complementing Kien Guru's current learning offerings!

• Kien Guru has helped over 2.5M students in Vietnam through live teaching, pre-recorded lessons and homework helper solutions.
