Elevarm raises $2.5M to elevate farming with upstream solutions for smallholder farmers

Elevate farming with Elevarm. This Indonesian agritech just raised a $2.6M seed!

They have end-to-end upstream solutions to help farmers increase their yields and productivity, while also pushing for sustainability.

  • Launched in 2022, they work with 13,000+ agricultural partners and 5,000+ active farmers.
  • They claim that their 2023 revenue has gone up 7x from 2022.
  • Their B2B marketplace for farmers and wholesalers facilitates crop sales of up to 1,000 tonnes a month.

Investor check. Insignia Venture Partners led the round. 500 Global and eFishery founder and CEO Gibran Huzaifa also joined in!

🧑🏻‍🌾 What they do

They’ve got an ecosystem of affordable products and services for smallholder farmers for each stage of the farming journey from soil to harvest.

Products. They have seeds, seedlings, and other agri-inputs.

Financing. They offer financing solutions for farmers and other stakeholders in the ecosystem.

Services. They have soil testing services and plant disease diagnosis.

Tech. They have an app for farmers with access to financing, land monitoring, and agricultural knowledge.

  • They also have a collection point platform, point-of-sale (POS) system for SKU management to collection management, proprietary IoT devices for soil and air, and an agriculture trading platform.

💰 What’s with the $$$?

They’ll scale production for their seedlings and organic fertilizer 3x to meet demand.

And they’ll also be investing a lot in NextBio, their R&D initiative to develop new products to improve biodiversity, soil health, and ecosystem resilience.

  • The goal? Introduce 15 new organic products this year, including biostimulants, fertilizers, and plant and bio-pesticides solutions.
