Check out Singapore's FastCo! They've just raised a $7.5M Series A to help more people land jobs.

  • They have over 4.4M jobseekers and 500k monthly active users in SEA.
  • They operate in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Investor check. OSK Ventures International led the round. Cento Ventures and Kairous Capital.

  • They initially raised a $4.1M Series A in December 2021 and raised an additional $3.4M in a Series A extension.

🕰 A little bit of history

FastCo started as a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings (yes, the media and property company) in 2015. Now, they've spun off as their own entity.

  • SPH has grown several "in-house startups" like 701Search and SgCarMart.

⚡️ Fast Facts

They've got two job platforms! One is FastJobs, which focuses on full-time, part-time and contract roles. The other is FastGig, their gig work platform, which launched this year.

  • Their platforms have over 20,000 jobs posted by verified companies in retail, F&B, logistics and more.

🙋🏻‍♂️ How it works

FastJobs is active across three markets. How's it different from other platforms? It focuses on more on the working class and manual or service-oriented roles.

Their new platform, FastGig was built to go beyond the typical part-time and full-time jobs by offering flexible work. Right now, it's only in Singapore.

  • It has fulfilled over 500,000 hours of work since launch.

Oh so simple. With FastGig, choose a job, book the time slot do the job — and get paid within the week!

  • Be delivery rider, a car washer, warehouse assistant or anything else you choose.
  • Work as much or as little as you want. Want to make a little extra money for the new laptop you need? Take jobs on FastGig until you've hit your goal.

🚀 What's next?

They'll be focusing on going deeper into SEA, especially through marketing, sales and doubling down on product.

  • They're also set to hit breakeven in two years.
