New startups in our orbit! Yes, Orbit Startups, a global VC fund, has announced nine new firms as part of their fifth cohort.

The selected firms received a sweet $180K in seed funding.

  • Orbit is a program launched by SOSV, which targets startups across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
  • They have four cohorts a year with around 10 companies in each!

🌞 Who they are?

The startups were from the healthtech, agritech, mobility, and fintech sectors.

For this cohort, Thailand’s Sage Health was the only startup chosen from SEA. They’re an AI-powered company that offers real-time healthcare data collection.

🔥 More on Orbit

According to Orbit’s website, their 194 portfolio companies have raised $728M in total. Oh, and they’ve invested in the comics platform Tappytoon, African retail marketplace MarketForce, and more!

Throwback. Their past cohort, announced last June, included Yindii (Thailand), and TradeTogether (Singapore).
