GetGo

Forget buying a car. Just use GetGo! This Singapore-based carsharing startup just raised a 20M SGD ($14.98) from Treïs, a family-backed investment group based in Singapore and London.

  • Singapore's largest carsharing service. Launched in 2021, they have 2,100 vehicles available in 1,400 locations in Singapore.
  • They have over 50,000 users making over 150,000 bookings monthly

🚗 Why it matters

Get the freedom of having a car whenever you need it — without owning one. While you can get by with public transportation (or even Grab/Uber rides), there are times when you do need your own car.

  • When? The days you need to take children or the elderly to activities, go on road trips, transport bulky items or have to head somewhere without easy access to public transport.

Their goal? Serve a million households in Singapore by 2030 and reduce car ownership in the country.

  • SG has the highest cost for car ownership in the world.

🛞 How to GetGo-ing

Just open their app, and you'll be able to see the available cars near you — they're usually just a few minutes away. Then, book the car that fits your needs and unlock it with the GetGo app once you find it.

  • When you're done, return the car to where it was originally parked at the start of the booking.

🧐 The details

Flexible and affordable. Book a car for as little as an hour or as long as five days. Oh, and you only pay for the hours and mileage (distance) you drove.

  • They take care of the insurance, maintenance and gasoline costs.

A car for any occasion and budget. They have both gasoline and electric cars, but that's not all — their fleet has economy, standard, premium, luxury and even commercial vehicles.

🛣️ The road ahead

They'll be growing their fleet of electric vehicles, doubling down on their tech and operations and accelerating their growth.
