Gobble-ing up food orders

February 4, 2022
Gobble

Gobblin' it up! Tired of scrolling endlessly on food ordering apps for your next meal? Meet Singapore's Gobble. It makes ordering food online how it should be — easy and fun. View and select what your friends order, make group orders and more.

  • SEA's food delivery market grew 30% in 2021 and is set to reach $28B by 2025.
  • Founded in 2021, the founders bring in experience from Shopee, Deliveroo, Delivery Hero and Travis Kalanick's CloudKitchens.

Who cashed in? The $1.3M seed round was led by Beenext and Flash Ventures. Ex-Uber exec Warren Tseng, Foodpanda exec Abhishek Sahay and Ex-Deliveroo exec Siddharth Shanker also joined in.

🏫  School's in

University's not-so-social these days, but Gobble's changing that. To kick off its app, it's launching in universities— a smart idea since tons of students live nearby each other in dorms or order on-campus.

Party it up. With Gobble Party, start a group buy visible to anyone nearby for a limited time. Everyone who orders gets a discount, while restaurants improve efficiency and get more orders. (Who doesn't love a win-win, especially to save $$$?)

  • Not sure what to order for dinner? You can check out the different Gobble Parties available and even see what other people are ordering.

Goin solo. That's perfectly fine. Use "Just Buy" to order from your favorite restaurants on Gobble as you would on any other food ordering app!

Send a gift. Make your friend, partner or loved one smile today! Select them on the Gobble app and gift them a surprise meal based on the restaurants near them.

  • Can't decide? Their favorite orders are listed — so you're sure it'll be a feast they'll remember. (Plus, no more mentions of "how could you forget what my favorite drink is?")

🔜  What's next?

It's launching at universities, expanding its tech and product team and doubling down on serving restaurants better.
