Going Mad for great eats delivered straight to you

April 26, 2022
MadEats

A good kind of mad! Here's MadEats, a Philippine cloud kitchen startup delivering what they call "furiously good eats." They've just raised a $1.7M seed led by Justin Mateen's JAM Fund.

Who else cashed in? Crystal Towers Capital, Starling Ventures, MAIN (Manila Angel Investor Network) and Rebel Fund (a VC fund by Y Combinator alumni) joined in.

👩🏻‍🍳  Cookin' up a cloud kitchen

Founded in 2020, they're an end-to-end delivery-only startup, which means they have their own online storefront, cloud kitchens and exclusive fleet of riders.

  • Orders can be made on their website or third-party apps like Grab and Foodpanda.

They also create and develop their own set of in-house brands. Right now, they've got six:

  • Chow Time (Chinese), Fried Nice (Fried rice), Yang Gang (Korean), Dot Coffee (Beverages), MadBakes (Desserts), MadMakes (Bulk orders).

😋  More than just foodies

And they're not stopping here. MadEats is also looking to gear up with an end-to-end ecosystem of custom tech (aka, MadKitchenOS) to help be scale and optimize.

  • These include apps, software and third-party integrations.

They've begun with an automated order routing system to optimize order fulfillment and analytics to see the best-performing brands and dishes.

🍳  Next menu item?

They're looking to build more kitchens across the Philippines' capital region, Metro Manila. Oh, and they're looking to add more brands like smash burgers and Japanese food.
