Let’s go hybrid? Singapore-based venture capital firm Granite Asia just announced the first close of their pan-Asia private credit strategy, Libra Hybrid. The firm secured more than $350M in commitments!

  • The strategy is targeting $500M in total commitments.

🧐 Where’s the $$$ from?

The first close was anchored by Temasek through its private credit platform Aranda Principal Strategies, while Khazanah Berhad, and the Indonesia Investment Authority also participated.

  • Granite Asia also drew capital from global institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, their GPs, and network of founders and entrepreneurs.

🔽 Some more detail

The fund has already deployed and committed around 30% of its available capital across six transactions, with some more deals in progress

The Libra Hybrid strategy combines credit investing with the firm’s technology expertise, operational capabilities, and its established track record in the region.

  • It will offer structured, non-dilutive capital to profitable companies navigating supply chain redesigns, market expansions, and tech-driven modernization.

Why private credit? Unlike private equity, private credit offers more predictable and stable returns.

Portfolio sneak peek. Some of Granite Asia’s portfolio companies include Sea Group, Grab, Carro, and more!
