Ice Breakers with Anita Jiawen Sadasivan

March 18, 2022

Anita Jiawen Sadasivan is Co-Founder & Chief Wellbeing Officer of MindFi. She's also Co-Founder & Instructor at The Brass Barre, Singapore's largest pole dancing studio.

👋🏼  How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?

MindFi provides Mental Health and Wellbeing Solutions to corporations. My job is to design these solutions! This could mean creating content, organizing community events, recruiting psychologists, counselors and coaches to our network, or even designing programs for specific clients to meet their wellness needs and goals.

🧐  What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?

When I'm not working on MindFi and talking all things Mental Health, you can find me dancing!

🏆  What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

Rather than a specific moment, what's truly the highlight of my career (to me) is being able to be authentically myself while creating real social impact. I'm very grateful for this.

🔍  What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?

I've recently started learning about DAOs, and I'm excited to see what happens in this space.

💼  What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?

Don't be afraid if you don't know how to do things or don't have the answers. Be hungry to learn. Keep reading. Keep asking questions. Talk to people. Don't give up.

🗣  What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours?

Two things: Dance & Mental Health.

🎥  What's your favorite movie/TV show?

Sex and the City is a classic.

🍨  What's your go-to ice cream flavor?

I love Pistachio Gelato.
