Best Haputpong is VP of Corporate Development and Investor Relations at iglooco, a Singapore-based startup that develops app-based smart locks for better home security. 

The startup raised $12M in Series B1 funding in 2022.

👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?

I collaborate with distribution partners around the world to reach out to businesses and consumers who can utilize our igloo locks to solve their pain points. 

We're passionate about locks and access and would talk to anyone from homeowners to property managers, and facility managers. 

I'm currently taking on a new role within Corporate Development and will be working closer with the CEO's office on our future corporate plans.

🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?

On a daily basis, we have conversations with tons of smart people from various industries, who are trying to disrupt their industries or embark on very innovative projects.

🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

Seeing our locks getting installed in tons of flagship properties around the world. This enables us to deliver a convenient and secure way of living to all our users.

🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?‍

Sustainability/climate. It's an industry that will impact everyone. Even within iglooco, we're thinking of what we can do to support these goals.

💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry? 

Be open-minded, be humble, and have a lot of conviction in whatever you choose to do.

🗣 What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours? 

Aside from locks? Maybe health/fitness/nutrition.
