Eric Dadoun is the Co-founder of DeZy, a DeFi startup that allows people to earn more from their savings and build wealth through crypto — without you even touching crypto.

👋🏼  How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?

Working closely with our team and our partners to execute our shared vision while staying up to date on industry and competitor activity to ensure we are going in the right direction.

More specifically? Staying out of the way of the great people we were fortunate to attract to the company. I think it's easy for founders to get caught up in their own ideas, but if you hire well and surround the company with great people, everything becomes so much easier.

🧐  What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?

I'm officially expert-ranked in Krav Maga, but it's been a couple of years. Need to get back to training.

🏆  What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

‍I'm fortunate to have had a few successful milestones in my journey but it's an evolving thing. What I thought was great before may not be as great now and vice versa.

I'm thrilled to keep finding myself surrounded by awesome people and the opportunities they bring.

🔍  What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?

Dezy, DeZy and more DeZy. We're busy :)

💼  What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?

Not just my industry but startups in general. Don't get lost in the flashy headlines across tech publications. There is heavy lifting involved, and it's a long road with a whole lot of bumps along the way.

Make sure you know why you are doing this, what the goal is and that you're ready for the dark days on the path to success. It will get ugly, but it's worth it if you want it :)

🗣  What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours?

DeZy :) Crypto, space, longevity and Krav Maga. More recently, I find The Sovereign Individual to be a common thread in a lot of conversations.

🎥  What's your favorite movie/TV show?

I could re-watch Breaking Bad and Sopranos endlessly. MCU fanboy... Disney+ for the win!
