Harprem Doowa is the founder of Eazy Digital, an agency and referral platform for insurance companies. This is his third startup since 2012, and he has currently raised $850k in seed funding and closed early large insurance clients.

👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?

Building a platform for insurance companies to help them optimize distribution, referral, and engagement with their customers

🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?

I like to see opportunity all around in the simplest of tasks, actions, and or events. It is a little game I play with myself where I apply technology to things people would find mundane to see if there is an opportunity for digital transformation.

🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

There have been a couple. Selling Frank to Bolttech in 2020 and successfully fundraising for my 3rd startup, Eazy Digital

🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?‍

From a professional level, I would keep my eye out on the insurtech space for consolidation and acquisitions.

On a personal level, I am interested in agritech and smart farms, as I think that's where the future is.

💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?

Understand the small nuances in the industry. Insurance has been around for 100s of years, and over this time, they have developed unique and detailed ways of working that are ripe for disruption but require knowledge of how they work.

🗣 What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours?

Philosophy. I like pondering life's hows, whys, and whats.

🎥 What's your favorite movie/TV show?

Of all time? I would have to say I'm a Trekie. I love watching any of the Star Trek series.
