👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?
I'm helping restaurants sell directly to customers.
🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?
We're a globally distributed team with customers and employees in over ten countries. I also have a photo frame with an email from the first restaurant owner who confirmed he wants to partner with Tablevibe on my desk. In a golden frame, of course!
🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
Getting the opportunity to move to Singapore with my former employer Google. There's no doubt in my mind that Asia will continue to shape the future of the world economy. Tech is at the forefront of that evolution. Experiencing the Asian tech ecosystem firsthand, both as a Googler and an entrepreneur, is certainly the highlight of my career so far.
🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?
Certainly Cloud Kitchens or Dark Kitchens, a new breed of restaurant without any tables.
Traditionally, the two biggest cost centers of operating a restaurant are real estate expenses and labor costs. Cloud Kitchens enable F&B entrepreneurs to serve diners at a fraction of the cost of "normal" restaurants. Data shows that millennials engage in home cooking at lower rates than any other generation. Last-mile delivery riders are everywhere.
I believe this will be a trillion-dollar industry by 2030.
💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?
Build something people want. Create value. The rest will follow.

Time travel
