Muhammad Aditriya Indraputra is the co-founder and CEO of PrimaKu, a digital parenting ecosystem that connects parents, pediatricians, and healthcare facilities for better child care.

Launched in 2017, they currently have 1.2M users in Indonesia. Oh, and they recently just raised their Pre-Series A!

👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?

I'm building a digital platform that connects parents, pediatricians, and clinics. This enables them to collaboratively improve and ensure the proper delivery of healthcare services or products for children.

🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?

I'm an effective matchmaker and have several couples I have guided into marriage.

There's a saying that if you can successfully matchmake a marriage, you will get a house in heaven. And I have a nice retirement complex already.

🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to achieve with PrimaKu and how we’ve provided a positive impact on Indonesian kids. 

According to the PrimaKu Child Health Report in 2022, 97% of the children (below 2 years old) in PrimaKu were able to improve their growth condition and avoid malnutrition. I am looking forward to more milestones achieved for Indonesian kids with PrimaKu!

🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?‍

I'm seeing interesting opportunities in geriatrics or elderly care. Just like pediatrics, where parents are willing to provide the best for their kids, it is in our culture to also provide the best for our parents and this is suitable for aging demographics.

💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry? 

1. Have the courage to take the first step and give it a shot.
2. Have the conviction that you (and your team) are good enough to face any problem.
3. Have the persistence to see it through.

🗣 What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours? 

I like to learn new things, especially new business opportunities. 

It helps me broaden my knowledge and at the same time keeps a pulse of new developments in the market. 

Aside from that, I am fully invested in the upbringing of my 3 kids. I love talking and learning from other parents about their approach to kids' health, education, and well-being.

🎥 What's your favorite movie/TV show? 

I watch movies to relax so I usually go for comedy shows. I love watching Friends or The Office.

🍨 What's your go-to ice cream flavor?‍

Vanilla or strawberry.
