👋🏼 How would you explain your job to someone outside tech?
I help finance teams automate mundane and repetitive tasks. As someone who's been building startups since late 2015, it surprises me how underserved the finance function at a typical mid-sized business is.

🧐 What's something about you or your job that would surprise us?
Back when I was in consulting, I spent six months in Alaska on an aviation client engagement. Worked during the weekdays and hiked during the weekends. Best time ever.
🏆 What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
Learning from inspiring mentors and formidable peers in my YC W22 cohort.
🔍 What's a startup trend or space you're watching this year?
Keenly watching out for new-age gig economy models.
Periods of stagflation/recession often lead to the rise of unique gig economy models. The 2008 crisis created a surge in the monetization of underutilized assets such as housing (e.g., Airbnb) and cars (e.g., Uber).
💼 What advice would you give someone starting out in your industry?
The finance function is not a monolith. There are several stakeholders within, which have a completely different set of pain points and priorities.
🗣 What's one thing you can keep talking about for hours?
Age of Empires. I've been obsessed with this PC game since 1998.
🎥 What's your favorite movie/TV show?
Modern Family
🍨 What's your go-to ice cream flavor?
Mint
