Now, they’ve just received a $239M private equity fund investment mandate!

  • They received the $$$ from Stella Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH, the investment entity of the Heinz Herman Thiele Family Foundation and Julia-Thiele Schürhoff.

🌍 Where the $$$ goes

The strategy will deploy long-term investments in growth oriented companies in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. 

  • They’ll focus on deploying in regions where there is a great opportunity to create impact and close critical funding gaps.
  • They’ll do this by backing companies that support job creation and provide goods and essential services. 

💵 Money moves

Earlier this January, responsAbility bumped the size of their Asia Climate Strategy to $460M. 

  • The strategy will bring capital into renewable energy, battery storage, efficiency and e-mobility across South and Southeast Asia. 

Some more detail. The latest commitments came from Anthos Fund and Asset Management, Calvert Impact Capital, and the International Finance Corporation.
