Making kids love learning through the power of cartoons

July 22, 2022
Creative Galileo

Don't blame the kids! Say hi to Creative Galileo. This Singapore-based startup just raised a $7.5M Series A to make learning actually fun for kids!

  • They have 7M downloads and 700,000 monthly active users in India (we'll get to that later).

Investor check. East Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Affirma Capital and Valiant Employee Investment Fund.

  • They raised a $2.5M Pre-Series A last year.

😤 Let's face it

Online learning isn't very engaging or fun — especially for little kids. But, they change the game by having your kids' favorite cartoon characters teach them! They'll be as glued to learning as they are to TV and Youtube.

📚 How it works

Their app is for early learning (aka, 3–10 year-olds). In the app, kids can learn through narrative videos, e-books and fun games where they can reinforce concepts and improve their skills.

  • They focus on STEM, language, social and emotional learning, animation and graphic design and financial literacy.

Just right. Every child is different, and they know it. With their aptitude tracking, each kid's learning content is personalized based on what they know (and don't know).

Mama knows best? Track your child's progress through the different games and levels.

  • More than just insights on your child's strengths and areas for improvement, you can even set the appropriate difficulty level of your child's learning journey.

🌏 SEA you soon!

The new $$$ will be used to go beyond India and scale across Southeast Asia. They'll be hiring, building partnerships (especially with the region's favorite cartoon characters) and adding regional languages.

  • Watch out. Indonesia and Vietnam are their first stops.
  • They'll change characters, support cultural nuances, add local languages and follow the curriculum in each country.
