Net zero, here we come! Malaysia’s Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) or KWAP, the country’s public services pension fund, has officially launched Dana Iklim+, a climate-focused investment fund.

  • The fund has a target deployment of $470M or MYR 2B.

📒 More on the fund

Dana Iklim+ aims to use institutional capital to drive both environmental impact and sustainable economic growth.

It will prioritize opportunities that drive climate impact while generating sustainable long-term returns.

  • The fund will aid the country’s transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy.
  • Oh, and the new fund also reflects KWAP’s long-term commitment to achieve a Net zero investment portfolio by 2050.

Background. Dana Iklim+ is KWAP’s third investment program, following Dana Pemacu and Dana Perintis.

Sustainability goals

The fund is guided by KWAP’s impact measurement framework, which measures impact across six dimensions.

This includes national alignment, climate resilience, and co-benefit indicators aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

  • FYI. The “+” in Dana Iklim represents these co-benefit indicators.
