Who said toys and figurines wouldn't be worth anything? Meet Singapore's Mighty Jaxx! They design and manufacture collectibles and lifestyle products that rake in millions. Now, you can say they're expanding their own collection with some new acquisitions!
🤑 #JustGotAcquired
They've made multimillion-dollar acquisitions in Kinetiquettes and PLAYe. The companies will continue to operate independently, but the three will now collaborate under Mighty Jaxx to help innovate, develop technical expertise and expand to new products.
What's the deal? Kinetiquettes is a high-end collectible firm that works with video game and anime publishers and top artists to sell items like statues, apparel and art prints.
PLAYe is a D2C platform for video games, gaming consoles and collectibles with both physical stores and an online platform.
🌟 What we're excited about
Kinetiquettes will bring licensed intellectual properties (IPs) of cult favorites Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia and Monster Hunter into Mighty's product portfolio. Plus, we hear that they'll help Mighty develop a new product category.
Mighty will be able to leverage PLAYe's D2C channels and network of gaming and pop-culture partners and bring more Mighty Jaxx products into physical stores for visibility.
😉 Let's get physical (and digital)
At the core, Mighty Jaxx is all about physical collectibles — and that won't change.
They're developing real-life experiences, Mightyverse (their platform for tech-enabled collectibles), digital collectibles and working towards a truly hybrid phygital experience for their customers that brings even more value.
