Here’s Multiplier! They’re a tech company that acquires specialized professional services firms and builds custom AI tools to improve how those firms work.

  • Now, they’ve just raised a $35M Series B.
  • They also announced that former Slack Chief Financial Officer Allen Shim has joined Multiplier as President and CFO.

Investor check. The General Partnership led the round, while Ribbit Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners also joined in.

✖️ More about Multiplier

Multiplier buys top-tier professional services companies, such as tax and accounting firms, and enables them to stay in charge as they scale.

Companies retain their brand, leadership, and existing relationships, while gaining long-term capital, a global network, and full operational support.

  • Instead of just selling software from the outside, Multiplier acquires brands and brings in tech pros to build custom AI tools tailored to real daily workflows.

🔎 Why it matters

Professional services are tough to scale because they rely on the time and capacity of senior experts.

  • Multiplier helps automate preparatory and administrative work (think: managing documents, financial statements, and emails), freeing up professionals to better serve their existing client base.

Run the numbers. Multiplier has already acquired eight firms to date, serving clients across more than 10 countries.

💰 What’s with the $$$?

They’ll use the fresh capital to acquire additional firms and expand their tech and ops teams.
