Pi-xcels raises $2.7M for one-tap paperless receipts

November 29, 2024

Say bye to paper receipts! Meet Pi-xcels. They let retailers give customers digital receipts through a single tap on a smartphone. Now, they’ve just raised $2.7M

  • They’re present in key markets like Japan, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
  • They’ve integrated with major global payment leaders like Ingenico, Pax, Newland, and Castles.

Investor check. Headline led the round. Wavemaker Partners, Hustle Fund, and several angel investors joined the round, along with new investors like Shizen Capital and Seedstars International Ventures.

😉 No app, just tap

Once your customer pays, you can send an e-receipt by tapping their smartphone.

Why it’s great? The receipt is sent directly to your customer’s phone! No app, email address, or phone numbers needed.

  • This is thanks to Near Field Communications (NFC) tech (aka, the same tech that lets you pay with the tap of your credit card),
  • Oh, and this is way more sustainable than paper receipts.

‍👀 Not just a receipt

Retailers can also get insights from Pi-xcels to power their marketing and other business decisions.

  • Plus, you can also add loyalty programs to your digital receipts using deep links! This makes it easy for customers to track and redeem rewards.

💰 What’s with the $$$?

They’ll speed up global expansion in their key markets and move into the US market. Oh, and they’ll expand partnerships and level up their proprietary NFC-based technology.
