Private equity firm Asia Partners raises $474M for second SEA-focused fund

Hello, more tech deals! Singapore-based private equity firm Asia Partners just closed a $474M SEA-focused fund.  

  • The firm now has $1B in assets under management.  
  • This new fund is 23% larger than their previous fund in 2021, which closed at $384M.

LP check. The International Finance Corp, International Development Finance Corp, Financial Investments Corp, the Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft, Generation Capital, and other unnamed investors joined as LPs.

According to their website, Asia Partners has backed SEA startups like:

  • 🇸🇬 Shopback. A shopping and rewards app that offers coupons, promo codes, vouchers, and deals to users who shop online. 
  • 🇲🇾 Carsome. A used car platform that is active across Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore.
  • 🇮🇩 RedDoorz. A hospitality company offering affordable stays to consumers and accommodation management solutions to hotel owners.

Fund in focus. Asia Partners is a SEA-focused firm that usually targets investments in the range of $20M to $100M.
