ProfilePrint raises Series B for AI-powered food profiling platform

December 15, 2023

Get that oh-so-good food. ProfilePrint, a Singapore-based startup that helps agribusinesses assess food ingredient quality using AI, just announced their Series B!

  • Their tech asses the quality of ingredients such as coffee, grains, tea, and more!
  • They’re present across 6 countries worldwide. Some of their biggest markets? East Africa and Latin America.

Investor check. Tai Partners led the round, while four of their existing stakeholders also joined in.

  • The amount raised is undisclosed.
  • They were backed by Cargill, Louis Dreyfus Company, Olan International, and Sucafina for their Series A round

☕ Food’s good

Ever wonder how your coffee bean got to your table? Most likely, it’s been manually sorted through a long and time-consuming process called physical grading.

ProfilePrint cuts down the time it takes to do this through their patented digital food Identity-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology.

  • Their tech analyzes ingredient samples to assess the quality and predict where the ingredients came from.
  • For companies, that means they can quickly identify the best quality ingredients they can use for export!

Why it matters. Apart from ingredient assessment, the AI platform also proposes blends based on the flavor requirements of clients.

💡 What’s with the $$$?

They’ll work on Verify, a feature that enables clients to send digitalized sample reports through the ProfilePrint platform.

  • They’re also planning to expand their platform into a “globally networked solution”, where they can link different actors in the supply chain.
