Quipster's here to connect contractors and suppliers

May 19, 2023

Have you heard of Quipster? This Indonesian startup links contractors with suppliers so they can rent heavy equipment and find building materials. And they’ve just raised a Series A!

Investor check. Chailease Holding, a leasing company based in Taiwan, led the round. FYI: This is their first time investing in a construction startup in Indonesia!

  • The amount raised is undisclosed.

🔗 Forming links

Quipster’s digital platform that makes it easy for contractors to rent and buy from the supply chain.

  • They digitize the inventories of their shop partners so contractors can easily find them on the network. Oh, and they can also arrange payments online.
  • So far, they’ve helped complete 500 construction projects already!

💪 Heavy lifting

Indonesia’s construction industry is set to grow because of government investments and residential construction.

  • But it’s hard to connect supply chains in a country with over 13,000 islands.
  • Plus, construction projects are a logistics challenge, especially in non-metro areas.

🧑‍🏭 What’s with the $$$?

Quipster is planning to further digitize the Indonesian construction supply chain and build on their current capabilities.

  • They’re also planning to break through Indonesia’s second and third-tier cities, starting with the island of Sumatra.
