Here’s RuralNet! This Philippine-based startup helps insurers, digital financial service providers, and banks deliver end-to-end microinsurance better and faster. Now, they just raised a $2.15M seed!

  • Launched in 2019, they’ve partnered with 25 financial institutions to provide microinsurance to about 2M Filipinos.

Investor check. Kickstart Ventures led the round, while Gentree Fund, Foxmont Capital Partners, and Kaya Founders joined in!

📃 It’s your cash

Finding it tough to offer your clients insurance? Put that in the past, thanks to RuralNet.

Their plug-and-play software helps digital financial service providers easily cross-promote and sell insurance on their existing mobile and web apps.

  • Hello, banks! RuralNet can administer your entire insurance program online—from the design to the marketing to the customer support—so you can offer insurance to your current customers.

💻 About the platform

Their digital portal makes it easy for insurers, brokers, and agents to enroll customers, generate and amend customer policies, and handle claims online!

  • And it’s not just easier for businesses. Ever missed payments on your insurance? You’ll never have that problem again with their automatic notifications.

All online. Just upload your documents into the web portal (no more mailing!) and get connected with agents who can offer the right product.

  • Their digital process helps their partners’ claims speed up by 65%!

💸 What’s next?

They’re going to expand their CashKo feature, which provides insurance coverage for staff members in SMEs.

  • And their goal? Cover 200K to 300K employees within five years!
