Say hello to Shoppable Business! This Filipino B2B startup makes sourcing authentic products faster and cheaper for local businesses. And they just raised a $1.15M pre-seed.

Investor check. Foxmont Capital Partners and Seedstars International Ventures co-led the round. Some local and SEA angel investors also joined in.

📥 Procurement 101

Ahh…procurement. When you reach out to suppliers and wait for days to get a quotation. And worse, you’re not even sure if their products are authentic.

Enter Shoppable Business, they help SMEs without procurement teams find suppliers in their marketplace.

  • Tax-compliant. They issue official BIR* sales invoices and receipts.
  • Get it legit. They’re a marketplace partner of GS1 Philippines, which sets supply chain standards by using barcodes to track products.

What do they sell? Computer parts, furniture, food, construction supplies, and made-to-order goods. You can even find marketing, logistics, and financing services!

🛒 Some more detail

Most local businesses still use Facebook Marketplace for procurement, but Shoppable Business has features that make it a worthy alternative.

  • Don’t re-do listings. Once your product is in the catalog, you just input some extra details and you’re set.
  • Don’t lose your customers. Through Direct, you can refer existing customers to your Shoppable account for free!

So easy! Sellers can accept online payments with their Shoppable Business account. Oh, and they can also handle your deliveries.

🔮 What the future holds?

They’re going to grow their business development and product teams.

  • Oh, and they’ll also enter new markets in SEA by the first half of 2024.
