Going app! Singapore-based Cata is a white-label SaaS platform that enables businesses to deploy branded apps within days.

Investor check. Portage led the round, while White Star Capital, 468 Capital, FoodLabs, FJ Labs, Rally Cap, and Iterative joined in.

🛄 Cata out of the bag

F&B owners, want to launch your own app? You’ll have to jump through hoops to launch and manage a branded app with the features you want.

Why? Building an app can take time (and a lot of investment).

  • Cata’s white-label platform enables businesses to launch apps with features like mobile ordering, payments, loyalty programs, promotions, customer relationship management (CRM), and data analytics.

Why it matters. Businesses today feel pressure to digitize operations, but don’t necessarily have the resources to easily launch an app.

  • With an in-house app, brands can gain deeper insights into their customers, set up reward systems, offer app-exclusive promos, and more.

🌯 What’s the $$$?

They’ll use the capital to target F&B and retail brands.

  • Oh, and they’ll also develop their product, improve AI capabilities, and pursue international expansion.

And for the long term? They want to expand into retail and booking services.
