Flying is the fastest way to move around the world, but it’s also…terrible for the environment.
Using SAFs as an alternative to conventional jet fuel is one of the ways that airports and aircraft operators can reduce air travel emissions.
What it's made of. SAFs can be made from a blend of plant-based oils, recycled cooking oils, and other fuels. The ratios depend on several factors.
Road to less emissions. The EU passed a law last year that required fuel suppliers to ensure that 2% of fuel available at EU airports must be SAF by 2025.
🛫 The ABCs of FlyORO
There are lots of cost and logistics barriers to flying with this green fuel though.
Using AlphaLite, FlyORO can blend SAF on-demand near airports and deliver the blend to specific aircraft for refuel, as needed.
